When I first wrote this post in 2017, my daughter Mei-Mei was 5 years old and fascinated by foxes.

I can't quite recall how it all started, but ever since she was a baby, she would point out anything with a fox on it. Here in our northern Virginia neighborhood, she loved to sit by the window and look for the red foxes that wander through our backyard. Oh, the excitement when one curled up on our back patio and took a long afternoon nap!
