I recently spent quite a bit of time online looking at dresses for my daughter and summer tops/shorts for the boys. All three managed to outgrow their clothes at the same pace this past winter!

When I'm purchasing clothes for the children, I follow three general guidelines:
- Everyday clothes should be reasonably neutral in color.
- The fit and feel should be comfortable and allow room to grow.
- And if at all possible, I always choose clothing made of natural fibers.
Having these guidelines helps keep my eye on what the kids need and off the seasonal trends. I'm curious, what do you look for when re-stocking your growing child's closet? And do you prefer to buy online or in-store? Sometimes I think it's easier to buy everything online but then I spend untold hours pouring over all the options! There are just SO MANY amazing children's brands online these days!
